AUTO OPTIMIZATION
The clip on the shoulder pad keeps the shoulder seatbelt mid-chest mid-shoulder, away from the child’s fragile neck area.
During a crash, the vertically slide-able shoulder pad will auto-adjust dynamically to optimize the seatbelt’s position relative to the child, thus constantly keeping the seatbelt at the strongest parts of the body.
ENERGY ABSORBING PADS
Quad-layered honeycomb air-bubble energy absorbing padding sits between the seatbelt and the child. It acts as a sponge, effectively reduces crash forces and spreads crash energy over a wider area of the child’s body.
RideSafer uses Air Mesh Fabric that has been tested on its non-Flammability and non-Toxic Chemical attributes.
CRUMPLE ZONE
When a crash occurs and generates tremendous force, multiple rings will be deformed in stages, which significantly reduce the crash energy that the child’s body needs to withstand. Offloading crash energy from children's body makes them safer.
ABDOMINAL PROTECTION
Four heavy-duty dual-layered webbing are stacked on top of one another and act as a wall that separates the lap belt and the child’s abdomen.
When a crash occurs and generates tremendous force, the "wall" prevents the sharp edge of the lap belt from cutting into the child’s abdomen, protecting the delicate internal organs.
TETHER ENHANCEMENT
The optional tether strap, which effectively turns the vest into a harness (like in a conventional car seat) rather than just a seat belt positioning device (like a conventional booster seat).
The tether significantly reduces forward and side movement of your child's torso, neck and head during an accident - thus lessening the risk of injury.
The tether helps wriggly or sleeping children stay in the optimal position for the RideSafer and vehicle seat belt to do their job.
MULTI-STAGE ENERGY ABSORPTION
The multi-ring design on the tether deforms in stages during a crash. The deformation process absorbs the crash energy that would have been exerted on the child’s head, which effectively reduces the chance of head and neck injury
CRASH TEST
RideSafer is crash tested to the US (FMVSS 213), Canada (CMVSS 213.3) and China (GB27887) standards. It is recognised as a legal child restraint standard by Traffic Police in countries who also recognize above standards.
